Safety in the Workplace

The Safety in the Workplace Program offers students a comprehensive overview of the Workplace Health and Safety and Occupational Health and Safety laws throughout Australia. It will give students an overview of responsibilities in the workplace to ensure safe working.

Module 1: Workplace safety
The Safety in the Workplace program will cover the laws surrounding health and safety throughout Australia. You will learn about your rights and responsibilities, as well as your employer’s rights and responsibilities concerning health and safety in the workplace. There is discussion on role of the health and safety person in the workplace as well as what a health and safety committee does.
Module 2: Personal protective equipment
The Personal Protective Equipment module will cover hazards and risks and how to manage hazards and risks in the workplace. Finally, you learn about personal protective equipment (PPE) and the different signs and symbols that notify us of hazards in the workplace.
